Industrial unit for the production of cathodic materials for electric batteries

The company, based in China, has chosen Morocco to implement one of its most strategic production units as part of the development of the electric vehicle value chain. BTR Cathode designs and produces cathodes for electric vehicle batteries and stationary energy storage systems, meeting the highest standards in the world automotive industry.

Technical activities and specificities:

• Production of cathode materials: Moroccan unit integrates chemical synthesis lines under controlled atmosphere, precision grinders, dryers, high temperature calcination furnaces and inert atmosphere conditioning systems. Each step is supervised by automatons to ensure total batch traceability.

• Industrial processesThe factory is equipped with ISO 7 clean rooms for critical powder handling, online quality sensors and real-time quality control systems. The production lines are designed to operate continuously, with integrated predictive maintenance.

• Technical and environmental constraints: The management of discharges (treatment of liquid effluents, filtration of air emissions) is given special attention, with equipment certified according to the ICPE standards. ATEX zones have been developed for the handling of reactive powders.

• Capacity and strategic issues: Moroccan unit is one of the most modern of the group, with a production capacity of several thousand tons per year. It directly supplies European gigafactories and contributes to Morocco's industrial sovereignty in the electricity sector.
